In some cities, residents must pay to throw their garbage away in city-owned collection bins. This is often facilitated via IoT trashcans, which detect client subscriptions based on a contract or rate card. From there, collection works the same way. Cities send garbage trucks along pre-determined routes to collect the garbage and empty the collection bins.

However, with Mobile / Cellular connectivity, these IoT trashcans can be configured to tell garbage collectors when collection bins are nearly full or when they’re still relatively empty. Our software-defined cellular connectivity solution, Smart SIM, is a brand-new solution designed to solve the many challenges affecting IoT project rollouts. It uses a policy-based approach for defining eSIM-compliant connectivity profiles with multi-countrymulti-network coverage and reach on over 700 mobile networks worldwide.

Our Smart SIM is based on a single global eSIM solution, which can be installed regardless of device location and can be programmed remotely with multiple operator profiles. The Smart SIM solution is also suitable for Bootstrap IoT Connectivity for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Smart SIMs (eSIMs) support all form factors, including 2FF, 3FF, and 4FF, and can also be delivered as MFF.
